        Russr33,

I feel the same about your Katana, definitely one of my favorite resto-mod Kat's I have EVER seen. I would just have to find the right candidate to mod like you did. Very well done!

Was wondering when you would chime in.
Sometimes Alan's videos are too corny but yours turned out great.
The bikes are beautiful and the turbo sounds nasty.

"Hi really like what you have done with the place",

very nice and much in line with the approach I took on my bike. The ESD White/Blue just stands out on top of a muted and mostly blacked out suspension/motor. The black out details on the USD forks / Wheels really make the bike look period factory super stock rather than recently Modded. Generally the 17" conversions tend to be more of the later.

Now a Corbin gunslinger in all black would look like pure sex on top.

I'd also say, given your urban environment you need an alarm on that puppy.

I agree completely. I wanted to update things while still keeping the stock look. Alot of people do not realize that the suspension upgrades are aftermarket and not stock for the bike. Everything is copacetic and looks fairly unassuming.

I've been looking for a corbin for a while now. But with a budget always in mind I have to search for deals or work out trades and the like for the pieces I really like

That's a beautiful ride you have there. A local guy has a beautifully modified z1r and brought one thing up to me on my bike about how these new front fenders don't jive with the older bodies and the more I look even at my own bike I kinda agree. If I could figure out how to mount a period correct fender I would chuck my Caron fibre one. Love the stock paint scheme on that bike one of my favorites for sure.

I think once I paint the fender blue\whit, it will jive even better.

Well, she wasn't completely done in this pic...I just rolled her outside to snap a shot. She is even more torn down now for electrical upgrades.

                              SO...

The following bits are from a 2001 Bandit 1200:

                              Front forks
                              Front rim
Front (6 pot Tocikos & Bandit MC) and rear brakes with stock MC for now
Triples are 89 gsxr750 (top clamp is a Speigler piece I got for a song
VM33s getting for a stock EZ engine with V&H street megaphone @ sea level
                              5/8" offset sprocket

My little brother made the stainless steel grab bars you can see in the pic. One on each side. Handy for putting the Ole Girl on the center stand.

Also has 83 ED gauges with 140mph speedo (not that I'll ever go anywhere near that fast!)

                              Things left to do:

Change routing of oil cooler lines
                              Chain (530 conversion)
Get rid of the mirror risers/vibration dampers
                              YSS or Ohlins rear shocks
                              Spiegler headlight/turn signal mounts

Dan-O: Howdy and Love you too. Doing good, feeling good.

Me: Give 'em hell, Little Bro!
