Which is why any mod I plan on doing to anything I own (cars, guns, motorcycles, ect) can be undone with a basic set if hand tools. The only mods I'm looking at doing once my 650g is done is changing out the signal lights for something shorter length wise. I don't even care for the full café look. I just like the café style bars on my 650g

To answer your question Chris, any tank can be made to fit any bike, it's just a matter of how much work you're willing to put into it.
A Sportster tank might not be the easiest choice. Look on eBay for vintage plastic tanks / universal plastic tanks. Many of them will fit a variety of bikes (although the GS450 does have a fairly wide backbone to contend with.....).

just one, i got it for my 12th birthday remington 20ga wingmaster. it's a collection. 2 ak pattern rifles, 1 sks, 1 ar-15, 2 mosin 91/30's, 1 winchester model 94 (that was my grandpa bud's), 1 mauser that will eventually be rebarreled into .308, 2 hi point 995 carbines(the one in the tan stock is the other 995 in the ati stock), 1 stevens 30-30 bolt action, 1 remington 522 .22lr, 1 daisy legacy .22lr bolt action, 1 RAU .22lr wildcat, the full size 1911, hi point c9, ruger p94, m&p9c, taurus 627 6.5" .357 magnum. like i said, it's a collection and a passion.
