That would be how they were stock, which I think is bland. In gold and black, on the right ride, they could look cool. Mine are solid satin black now, and I'll post pics once they are mounted. I like the wheel in pure black: Much more menacing. The silver faces made it look wimpy.

Glen, I totally agree. I really like the bike without the mirrors sicking out-not to mention that they mostly gave me a view of my shoulders. The bar-ends clean it up nicely, and there is less turbulence on the highway at speed, something I noticed when I did the same thing to my old FZ1. I have wrap over the holes now, but will be having some mirror blanking plates made soon. I had those on the FZ and loved the way they looked.

Just getting around to the black wheels. Should be done by the weekend. New bearings and cush drive, too.

Pilot, possible if I could rack your brain on how you did the wrap? The paint is beyond gone on my FZ1 and have been considering doing a wrap. If ok I'll shoot you a PM.

Bike looks AWESOME! I love the green. Did a great job in my book! Be sure to post more pics!

I had the bike professionally wrapped, Jedz. It was expensive, though not as much as the same effect would have been in paint. The fellow I had do it wraps high end cars such as Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Porsches. He did me a favor by taking on the GS, but it was still $650 to have it wrapped.
