Had a nice post written up. The webpage decided to destroy it so this is what I have in short lol.

I replaced the seat on my 1100gk with one from an 82 850G. Did work on pan, foam, and replaced cover. I like phosphoric acid over vinegar for pan. I liked Saddleman repair foam. I used a saddleman cover as it's what we stock at work and dealer cost spoke to me. Two things that irked me on the cover. First was a manufacturer's tag on rear I had to cut stitching to remove, and sew back with fancy thread and consumed a lot of time. Second was a thin layer of foam the manufacturer sew inside the cover to "fill imperfections". I feel it makes the seat less nice looking and makes it look fluffy. People talk about vapor barriers. I'm no expert, but after a pan restoration I wanted to keep as much water out of the foam as possible. Under the cover I used the thinnest painter's drop cloth (plastic) I could find (Actually ended up at Walmart), and on he pan ended up with Rustoleum Neverwet before foam installation. Heat guns are handy.

Plastic Kote or Duplicolor make a specific spray for vinyls. I used it years ago on some vinyl wingback chairs. It never peeled or flaked and those chairs saw regular use and a use for 5 or 6 years. I'll see if I still have a can when I am at the garage.next to get you the brand name.

Found it. This is the stuff- I am not sure if it is UV resistant.
