I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.Tags: None

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Rattlecan "chrome" is, at best, a semi-shiny (almost satin) silver.
Do a Google search on "spray chrome", there are a few places out there that have some interesting products that can be used at home, with ordinary spray equipment.

Yeah, the best that "chrome" paint gives you is an approximation of bright cast aluminum. To get a real "chrome" coating you have to both spray it with something containing the right flat metallic pigments (flakes) and then buff it to make them lay flat and form a contiguous surface coat. Actual plating, like done for chrome parts on toys and plastic models all the way up to the chrome hi-temp coatings on headers is usually easier, if more expensive.

I clear powder coated some cases after shining them up and they look pretty good although they lose a little bit of the mirror finish. Still pretty shiny.1983 GS 1100 Guided Laser

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.
