Aftermarket Throttle Question

Does anybody happen to know if this throttle ( http://r.ebay.com/YpsknF) will work for my 82 gs650? I want to be sure that my stock throttle cable will work in it before I buy it. I don't know where to find that information, so Im hoping some of you have a first hand knowledge on the topic. Any advice is greatly appreciated. (also, please don't b***h at me for not searching for it first, because believe me- I've tried)

My throttle is about the only stock thing left on my bike. I don't like the plastic look of the stock setup, so Im looking into getting a throttle like this, and rerouting the start button down to the side of the bike.
