light scratches in clearcoat
if I have some light scratches on my factory tank will I be able to buff them out? 1983 gs750e. Is there a clearcoat on this tank?Tags: None

Probably has clearcoat.
A light polishing compound should get most of it out. There are some pricier ones but the withe turtle wax offering has always been good enough for me. I think they make a aste and a more liquid variety. The liquid seems easier to work with at least by hand.

watch some youtube vids to get proper technique.
I would do it by hand hard to damage things that way.
Als be super careful on any ridges or seams of decals etc as you could burn through

Use a plexiglass polish it works great on light scratches in paint and clear coat finishes.My stable
