When I dipped my 1150 carbs (24 plus hour soak- they were BAD), every bit of paint came off.sigpic
When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

VHT Caliper Paint does a wonderful job of putting your choice of color back on them.

So, it sounds like Silver is the new Black for the 83' carbs.
After a closer look, I think the mirrors are original. So, I think it is just the pipes and the bars.
I did get an extra seat without tears but it is not an original cover. I seem to always want to keep the original look.
So, the short list of needs is pipes, center stand and seat........minty please!

I could be very interested in that pipe you have there for the right price. Let me know what you wanna do with it after you replace it...'83 GS 1100T

Ray.
Definitely V & H as it still has it's badge. It is a nice sounding pipe and will cleanup nice. However, I will keep my eye open for a set of OEM pipes. I could also be tempted with a SS Supertrapp...........my all time favorite pipe.
