Chrome trim around rear cowl.
Has anyone found a source for the chrome trim that goes around the rear cowl on the G and other models. Its still available from Suzuki but for over 500.00 bucks. That's crazy.Tags: None

The price on the moulding seems like a mistake. I tend to doubt they have it in stock too. You might want to have a local dealer call Suzuki for a sanity check. Otherwise, purchasing an entire cowl with good molding might be your best option.Ed

I've used the roll of chrome trim from eBay with success on my 1000S. It bends quite easily without deforming or wrecking the outer chrome "skin". Make sure you get one that has adhesive inside the trim. Without that it will keep falling off. It is certainly presentable unless you're going for the concours look.
Earlier this year on eBay there was a NOS (but damaged) trim for a rear cowl for a GS (can't remember whether G or E/S), and the bidding was in excess of $500 before it closed.2016 BMW F700GS - everyday ride
