No Badges? Sacraligious or not?
I don't won't to get lambasted by everyone but what do you guys think about taking of the badging on the tank, filling in the holes and using a paint scheme that doesn't include putting the Suzuki back on the tank? I still will keep the side covers OG. This is for a 1977 gs750. Just wondering if this is sacraligious or not.Tags: None

A good pic of the bike would make it easier to form an opinion.1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red
2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

As Steve said, it's yours, do as you may. Sacreligious? To some maybe, but they aren't riding it.sigpic
When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Who dat?, I know the bike looks good in the picture but looks can be deceiving. It's not the original paint and the repaint was a very bad job. I think there was only one coat and no clear coat. My plan is not to chop up the bike but repaint it and add new handle bars and a fairing. Hardly a chop job. Everything else I do will be just to make sure it's safe. The old owner didn't give this bike the attention it needed. Something I definitely plan on doing....and them some. I do agree with you though. They sure are purdy just as is.Last edited by Guest; 01-31-2016, 11:35 PM.

Tkent02, I did not know there was a big brake option. That's sweet. Do you have any info on that? I will be looking that up immediately. The 113 is my Firefighter badge #.

It looks like this:
The same Kawasaki calipers and Saltymonk's bracket, but the disc is bigger, I think it's from a Blackbird or one of those. Works very nice, one finger for normal stuff, two if you want to really brake hard. The whole thing is lighter than the stock brake if that's important to you.
