78 GS 1000C BLUE paint needed

Im about to kick off my summer project and finally redo the 78 1000C thats been in the storage unit for about 5 years. I have the Burgundy / Orange striped model so I want to do this one in its sisters blue color.

What i need is someone with an original to get a scan and post the mix code..or if anyone knows a current available car color that would work as well. I have seen a few guys saying they also would like this information so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There might be some confusion as to what you asked on your post, Chuck. You asked for someone "to get a can" of their blue paint and then send you the mix code. I'm assuming you meant "scan"... Either way it may be a bit of a stretch for a paint store to do it for that person without buying the product afterwards. I had the color made once and it was a perfect match but the mix code wasn't on the can, so I'm no help either.

Chuck if you can't find anything I have a tail piece with paint in good shape I could send you if you send it back when you're done.

yes..I probably made a typo Larry..should have said Scan. And Tom, yes that would be great. My buddy that manages the paint supply house can scan it and I will send it back immediately. I will PM you the addy.
