Has anyone used the Color-Rite products to stave off the inevitable rust that would occur if left untouched? Should I go with the pen system? Or should I be looking at prepping the area around it. I am not looking for show-quality, just not noticeable to anyone but me.

Tank paint chips and Color-Rite
After working on the bike, post-rally, I noticed a small (1/8 inch) chip on the right side of my tank. It's deep, down to the metal.

I had a chip on the Kat tank so I went down to Lordco on second and had them do a colour scan and bought a jar of touch up paint. { I think it was around 11 or 12 bucks } and a couple of their cheap touch up brushes. Then I stuck the jar of paint in the freezer til if got the consistency of paste and dabbed it into the chip. Not perfect but I was happy with the result.............Old age and treachery will beat youth and skill every time1983 GS 750
