    GS1000gl seat mods? Lower profile.

Hey, does anyone know what I can do to my L Seat to make it more sleek? It's ugly and bulky. Or is there a different aftermarket seat anyone knows of. Or possibly a different model seat I can swap directly? I can fabricate if I have to move some mounts around to make something fit. Pictures would be awesome. Or links to websites. I used the search button but it didn't really pull much. I like The look of the G seat.

how ugly and bulky? Has it been recovered/repaired somehow? Post a pic
Look at other bikes to find something you can accept- since you can fabricate mounts, you have many choices

Yep, that's one butt ugly seat.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

Oh my, hacked is right. Looks cushy though.
Very nice bike by the way.

Make sure if you go flat vinyl again, get it hot and stretch it tight over the foam as you staple it. It looks like PO didn't do that or left the foam rotted and chunky underneath.

This is what I did to my 550L. I shaped the existing seat foam to where I wanted it and sent it to Sargent Cycle products in Jacksonville FL. There they added their Super Cell Atomic foam across the top and covered it with the pattern I liked. A little pricey but it turned out just like I wanted.
