My tachometer and speedometer lenses have hazed up on the inside. I removed the unit but it seems to be all in 1 piece so I can't get to the inside of the lens. Is there a way to get at the inside of the lens?

Tachometer lens haze removal
Hi,
My tachometer and speedometer lenses have hazed up on the inside. I removed the unit but it seems to be all in 1 piece so I can't get to the inside of the lens. Is there a way to get at the inside of the lens?Tags: None

Somewhere around here is a tutorial on how to remove the bezel by prying from behind with a screwdriver. IIRC you work your way all around opening up the metal crimp gradually unbending it until you can get it off. I don't know where to find it, but It's probably on Basscliff's site somewhere.Dogma

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Little tip. When you crack them open youll see a paper gasket. I put a thin smear of RTV on each side of the gasket so it seals and does its intended purpose of keeping water out of them.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
