    84 GS1150 EF paint scheme?

Question; I am picking up a 1984 GS1150 EF with full fairing (upper and lower) and I see in the U.S. there were but two colors, red and blue. I am wondering if the European paint colors were different, and if so what they are. I am not a big fan of the U.S. colors and if there are other options that might tickle my fancy I would like to know. Thanks in advance.
1984 GS1150ES (finally arrived, more to come...)
1989 Dodge Dakota (the perfect Oregon work truck)
1980 Sears "Free Spirit" bicycle (original patina and everything!)
1978 "The Executive" RV (vintage like its owner)

How can I be in two places at once when i'm not anywhere at all?

Can I double park in a parallel universe?

You should look at the Canadian color schemes.

US had different paint and schemes for all 3 years (84 - 86). 84 blue and red are different from 85 - 86 blue / red.
The 85 - 86 is a base coat / candy finish and looks great IMO. I like the 84 scheme the least. The Canadian paint is cool.
A Google search will turn up lots of pics.

Apparently this is an 85 Canada version (not sure if it's the same as US):

          And an 86:

          Current:
Z1300A5 Locomotive (swapped my Intruder for it), GS450 Cafe Project (might never finish it....), XT500 Commuter (I know - it's a Yamaha )

          Past:
          VL1500 Intruder (swapped for Z1300), ZX9R Streetfighter (lets face it - too fast....), 1984 GSX750EF, 1984 GSX1100EF (AKA GS1150)
And a bunch of other crap Yamahas....

I've always like this one, but not sure if it was available here or not.

Now I am really confused. Would it be sacrilegious to choose a color scheme that doesn't match the year? If you had to ride it all the time, which scheme would be easiest to live with? I am leaning towards the white/red one....waddya think?

They were marketed as GSX1100EF in Oz and UK / Europe. They were only badged as 1150 in the US and Canada AFAIK.

I agree, even though my Cooley(one of these days) is suppose to be blue and white a PO painted it red and white. Not exactly factory but everyone here has blue and white here and it will be a keeper anyway. If it was in better condition that might be different, but since I have to piece a lot of it and it won't be a stock resto, I'm cool with it. Anyone that thinks different, so be it. Life's too short to always conform.

Yeah, they don't show up very often down here for sale and when they do, they want multiple body parts.
