82 gs1100 tank mod.
Just got my bike and the tank is too big for what i want to do to to it. Found this picture online and was wondering if anyone knew what this tank is off of. The tank i have now is huge and has the 2 tabs on the rear. Or if anyone has an idea for another model tank that would give this type of look let me know. A little bit of fab work to mount a new tank is not a big deal, im expecting that but if there is a bolt on one thats great. Thanks guys!

Most likely a stock GS- L model tank.sigpic
When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Is your 1100 chain-driven or shaft-driven?
Have to ask, because they have different tanks, and if you have a shafty (1100G), there is the 1100GL, but you will have to fabricate tank mounts for the bike, as they mount similarly, but not in the same location.
