    81 750L paint job done

Bike sat out back of my buddies house for maybe 3 years and all the tank had was primer. I got the bike for a trade on some loans i made and got it back road worthy. been riding it with the primer on for a few months now to work and just running around in general.

Weather has finally warmed up enough to paint so last weekend I got after it. stripped the tank, reprimed, and shot it black. It passes the 2 FT test!! Repinted the black background on the tank badges also.

Let it set a few days to cure. Got the DA out and ran over it with Turtle Wax rubbing compound and finished off with Turtle Wax polishing compound. Guess by the fogginess of the pics I need to clean the camera lens...LOL Now if I can find a set of decent side covers. The bike didnt have any when I got it.

When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!https://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/core/images/smilies/cool.png

I dont know....got a buddy who manages a paint supply house. I tell him what color and he does his thing. I do know the clear is a 2 part deal..add the activator at a 4 to 1 ratio. Im heading out to eat. Will look for details when i get back home.
