    Installing new turn signals

How hard would it be to replace all four (4) of my turn signals with clear bullet ones? What tools would I need? How much time would it take? Should I just take it to a local shop?

    Thanks for your help!

Not to be rude, but I think that this question would have been better if asked in a PM.

I doubt that I am. Could you PM me their first names? Thanks!

Back to the question at hand...

Depends a bit. I haven't stripped off my GS signals yet, but I have on other bikes. Usually, they mount with a hollow bolt that sticks out of the end of the signal stalk, then is clamped to the tab on the frame with a nut. If your bullet signals have a similar arrangement, then it will be a piece of cake to mount them. If not, improvisation and/or fabrication will be required. The wiring connectors will likely not be the same size/style/type between your harness and the new signals, so you will have to do a bit of soldering to match things up.

Should I just take it to a local shop?
        Don't do that. 8O

It is not a hard project and you will get that warm tingly feeling from having accomplished it yourself, as well as saved the $$$ for labour.

Do it yourself. Takes about an hour if you're familiar with crimp connectors and wiring.

I did the clear bullet lights on my ratbike in under an hour.
But I'm familiar with it all.

Make sure they are DOT approved They probably are not approved. You may also have to get an electronic turn signal flasher
