    Anybody know which way this goes into fork legs fell out when I haf them fully diIMG_20170913_130624.jpgsmantled.Was polishing them didn't even know it was in there.

    It's #15 on this diagram, "PIECE, OIL LOCK".

    It slides onto the bottom of the damper rod. The damper rod bolt goes through the fork leg, through this piece, then threads into the damper rod.

          You don't.

          The best way to add air is not to add air. Air pressure is not a reliable way to increase spring rate.

          Install proper springs for your weight and riding style and set sag correctly.

          Not sure what's available on your side of the pond, but most of us use Sonic straight rate fork springs.

            Or depending on your weight you can cut a chunk off a stock set (from the closely wound end) and grind it back as flat as possible to increase the spring weight. Replace what you cut off with a length of PVC pipe.

            There are lots of threads about this & various spring rate calulators online. Depends how hard-up you are as to which route you take I guess!

              Finally reassembling front end does the clamps for the front break lines go on the inside of the the mudguard/fender or between fork leg and mudguard/fender should of taking photos before dismantling. I'll learn for next job on bike
