    Header coat instead of chrome?

When I built my bike 15 years ago I wanted a Custom!
Bought a new 4 into 1 and decided to have it Coated!
We have a coater bout 50 miles from hear, while their i ask him about coating other Parts?
He said he could coat anything metal that would not melt in the heat ?
My tree top, starter cover, and motor mounts were coated with header coat,it looks more like aluminum when finished than chrome.
Way less expensive than Chrome! And it kinda matches the aluminum on the rest of Bike!
I even had a set of spoke wheels, wheel only coated for a gt550 I built Once!
Just thought I would mention this, no one round hear. Had thought about This?
20171021_161314.jpgsorry bout the upside down pic,my new pad,I and got it figured out yet?

I had an exhaust coated with that high temp powder coat that they denote "ceramic." It looks good enough but it seems pretty fragile. A blister formed on one of the header pipes and now I'm afraid to touch it for fear of more marks. Hope the stuff your guy used is more tough.

If Photobucket still works, you can see the ceramic coating on the header pipes on my 850 and my son's former 650.
I am about to have just the header pipes done on a set of '79 850G pipes for my wife's bike.

Several thousand miles, so far, on the first two bikes, I am pleased enough to do a third.

I had the pipes done on my Yami venture 700 snowmobile {'99}....the coating stayed rather well except where the spring that held the pipe{s} down rubbed into it. Lacking any abrasion, it should do fine if prepped right and the coating is good. Maybe mine wasn't....idk...mine was fine for 3 yrs until I sold the sled.
