    Cleaning black 1150 exhaust.

I've never tried to clean black exhaust before. I'm seeing what looks to be very small spots of rust showing up on my factory 1150 exhaust. Anybody got any good tips on what to use that wont leave a lot of fine scratches. I'm not sure if doing the same thing with bright chrome will work or destroy what are still good pipes.

It could. What ever you use try it on the inside first. I had a set that I was flipping and found out chrome polish will remove the black. I remember lots of rubbing with a spray lube and a soft micro-fibre cloth.

You know what you might try is Rust-Mort rust converter. It changes rust to black metal. I’ve used it in cars for small spots. Works well.
