    show me your signals

looking to replace the original signals for my semi stock/ cafe build, have any of you ever replaced the rear red reflector with flush mount turn signals? would like to do some shorter stalk black signals on the front. would like to see what some of you have done.

    Thanks,

What I have done with my bike is entirely opposite what you are doing with your bike, but ... you asked to see them.

My rear reflector is built into the tail light, no way to replace it with flush signals. However, the signals in the saddlebags are supplemented with the LEDs on the sides of the license plate frame.

At the front, I have replaced the yellow lenses in the fairing with clear lenses, then got some LED modules from Custom Dynamics that replaced the incandescent bulbs. These modules show white during normal "running light" operation.

When a turn signal is turned ON, the white changes to yellow (amber),

    and flashes OFF.

Many of the newer cars do this, as well as some of the newer Harleys. It's just a bit unusual to see it on a 40-year-old Japanese bike.

I love that on an older Zook.

Thanks. The only incandescent lights left on the bike are the instrument bulbs. Everything else is LED.

For those who know some details about these bikes, yes, I still have my self-cancelling signals.

I put a set of Honda Grom signals on my 79 GS1000. Fit great, look great, work great. plug & play. Partszilla for around $14 each. Sold my take offs on ebay, almost broke even. Sorry, I don't have any pics.

I bought mine from a well know internet site..

They are cheap chinese made but at £1.56 each if they are broken it's not a problem and they look ok.
