    Headlight Cover

Hey guys, I've searched the forum but haven't found what I'm looking for, so here goes.

Does anyone have a good source for headlight shields/guards like this: https://www.dimecitycycles.com/suzuk....html?cat=2173

I love the look, and will probably just make my own but I'd like to see what's out there.

Also, does anyone sport the black X on their headlight? What did you use for it?

    Cheers

I was always under the impression that the black X was the old version of taping the complete light in current time track days to keep glass from scattering in the event of a wreck.

Agree about the "X". Not sure why you'd want it on a street bike.

About the screen? I clean the bugs and dirt of my light about every time I stop. I can't imagine putting something over the light that would prohibit me from doing that. Besides, I haven't seen a rectangular screen.

Of course, I haven't even bothered to look for one, based on the reason stated above.

So you just want a cover for the aesthetic value?

I find them quite useful when riding through a zombie apocalypse. Prevents people (zombies) from breaking your headlight.

          Or riding off road.

I did say I liked the look of the screen/guard, but function as well if they work?

Good point about the bugs, I was thinking more about road debris.

That was my impression as well, just curious if anyone was actually riding with it (can't see it being anything but a hindrance for street riding).

Yes, you did say you liked the way they look, and yes, I'm suggesting that that is about all they are good for-unless you are riding gravel roads or running over zombies.

If that's the sort of thing that's your sort of thing, then the sort of thing that's the sort of thing I'd do is to check Dime City Cycles.

                Oh, wait...

Other than that expensive OEM part, there are all sorts of options on fleaBay. I don't think Cycle Recycle II or Z1 have anything like that but you could check.

I once had these on a Nissan pickup truck years ago. For the same reasons Steve stated, they didn't stay on for long.
