Longer Fork and Higher Handlebars? Rims Swap?

    HI,

I was thinking of putting higher handlebars and a longer fork on my '78 GS1000 to give it a different ride. Anyone done this yet? I was thinking of using a '79 GS1000L for the two parts. Also I was thinking of switching from spoked rims to mags, will these ideas require many modifications?

    Thanks for the help,

    Chris

I cant tell ya it the wheels will fit (or any or it); however,

If you change the forklength, tire size, ect... you WILL be affecting the geometry of the bike. It could cause a unstable and potential dangerous rig.

I suggest measuring and checking the trail.
