Long story GS1000 theft need seat advice
Its been an emotional week on Tuesday morning I had my beloved 1980 Suzuki GS1000E stolen, owned the bike for 41 years. After a massive social media search and find campaign my bike has been recovered. Unfortunately the scum have caused some damage to bodywork. The seat is ruined and I am looking for a replacement have seen one a Giuliari seat on ebay it states for a GS550/750 does anybody know if the seat will fit a GS1000E pleaseGS1000 enthusiast from the UK

Well that sucks about the stolen bike. Good to have it back but now it is forever damaged in your mind at least. About the Giuliari seat, sorry but I am of no help with your fitment question.
I know I have seen the seat on other bikes and I think they are pretty sharp looking. Good luck.Larry

I bought a 1978 GS1000E that had one on it, if that helps any. I've actually still got it in the garage, I think???? I can get some measurements off of it if you need them.Ron
When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!https://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/core/images/smilies/cool.png

Hi Dave, gs750 seats don't fit a 1000 chain drive like yours. Try Bob the seat on Ebay for a complete seat or maybe Phil at P&K classics. My bikes 79 GS1000 1085 checked and approved by stator the GSR mascot :eagerness: and 77 GS750 with 850 top end, GS850g, and my eldest sons 78 GS550, youngest sons GS125.
