It's a vacuum tap, it has two hoses -one for fuel and a smaller vacuum one that usually connects to (or near) the Number 2 carb. Three positions are Reserve/ On/ Prime. Manifold vacuum turns the tap on when the engine is running, off when the its not. So the tap stays in the ON position. RES if you run out of gas. The Prime position (PRI) by passes the vacuum tap and allows gas to flow into the carb bowls with the engine off. This is if you need to get gas into the carbs because they have been drained for whatever reasonLast edited by KiwiAlfa156; 06-01-2022, 04:02 AM.

Just be careful that if you ever put it into the prime position turn it back to On or you could have fuel in your engine. That’s bad jujuCowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace
