    New 4-1 exhasts for GS750, 1000

Z-1 is carrying a new product, looks pretty promising especially since Vance and Hines no longer makes pipes for us.

Stainless steel Delkevic pipes are superb, thinner material and a good bit lighter than the V&H pipe - plus a lovely exhaust note...

Yeah I had the race one on the 1100. It seemed like a good pipe. Nicer than a V&H for sure...

My Delko sounds absolutely stonkin' at 6K+ under power, but IT'S TOO DAMN LOUD!

Hey Dave, Not familiar with the Delkevic pipes, may not be possible for them, but in yrs past I made a few baffles for different 4 into 1 pipes. The longer the inside tube or the smaller the dia. of the inside tube, the more fiberglass could be packed inside them installed. More fiberglass = deeper, quieter tone.

I'm definitely looking into making an internal baffled insert. The original factory baffle is about 6" long straight-through with perf metal and fibre. I can extend that by a foot or so. Before I bought the megaphone muffler, I'd only bought the downpipes and matched an H-D muffler to them. That wasn't too bad, but the reason I eventually bought the factory mega was to keep it matched the way Delko meant it to be (which was basically pretty bloody rubbish, to be honest).
I've since welded on a Supertrapp pack of discs to the outlet, which do actually attenuate the noise a bit, but not as much as I want them to.

I ran the delkevic 4 into 1 with the straight muffler for a about 2 years. I tossed mine because the stainless would discolor extremely quickly (polishing the headers was a monthly chore) and it’s extremely difficult to keep sealed so popping on decel was problematic. Other than that it sounded pretty good when you’d open it up.
