Pingle. That's what I'm using. Just remember, you must train yourself to shut it off when done riding.

Ditto to Pingle or something else.
I use a Pingle adapter plate, but they're easy to make up from scratch.
On that, I'm using a knock-off Custom Chrome H-D fuel tap that flows plenty of fuel with on/off/res.
Long before I had bikes with auto-shutoff vacuum taps, I had to remember to cut the fuel myself, so it's been easy to re-instigate that habit.

Does anyone know of one that is a direct bolt on ? I really don't want to futz with an adapter plate and Pingel is pretty pricey.

May be worth digging into an old GT550 or GT750 pet cock to see if it may fit. They were before the vacuum started... Not saying it will fit, but maybe worth a look.

Some of the original vacuum petcocks can be modified to be manual.
There are two infos I have..
one is https://www.thegsresources.com/_foru...ng=#post218710 that I have no opinion on
two is a more recent thread here somewhere but I took notes:

"It works perfect!! By removing the little stop tab so the lever can be straight up I have OFF. By removing the diaphragm o-ring I have ON (without needing vacuum) and still have a functioning RESERVE when in the RESERVE position. PRIME is no longer needed since vacuum is not connected. The filter screen is connected. I also added an inline filter to keep the fine rust dust from the carbs. I did leave the diaphragm spring out but you can do what you want. "

(I read somewhere that if the stop tab is removed so the petcock lever can be put pointing up it serves as an off. With the diaphragm o-ring removed fuel should flow as if vacuum opened the port. With the vacuum port plugged on the petcock to (stop the leak), the carb vacuum port plugged, the reserve position should work. When in the ON position fuel would flow, straight up position the fuel would be shut off.)

Patnote: doesnt work on all my petcocks... some have a hole right through the nylon plugs but it does work where there is one hole that flows into hollow nylon valve plug...(the "tab" mentioned is on the chromed cover plateiremoving it allows the tap handle to rotate 360 which in turn rotates the (nylon?) plug that directs gas...

Also tap hits tank in many cases

Hmmm. Interesting. On this petcock the face plate is clipped on, not sure how to remove it. But I may try removing the diaphragm O ring and see how it works. I have to be able to shut it off.

A picture would confirm but on most, that faceplate is easy. small screwdriver, lift over the detente and pop off each side. The knob itself has a spring behind it but IMO is unlikely to fall out due to rubber o-rings that hold it in the barrel of the casting. ..so you can file the restrictive tab off the faceplate and snap it back on easily

ALL THAT SAID, I need opine that the vacuum taps are ok for years and years when working and, that on bikes I have with Manual Petcocks, I don't worry about leaving it on in a parking lot or whatever because the carb float needles should hold back the fuel whether petcock on or off. If they aren't, your bike is probably running rich all the time so beyond dribbling in a parking lot this is also a good reason to fix leaky float needles.

Assuming the 750 petcock bolt holes are the usual 44mm apart...
This will fit with just the tiniest bit of finagling...

The holes on yours are likely 44mm apart, whereas the holes on the one I posted are 46mm apart. A rat-tail file (think chainsaw file) can easily take a single mm of material off the inside of each hole and it will line up with the Suzuki tank holes. There's a very good chance you might not even need to do it at all, given the tolerances of holes drilled in the casting.
