    Hello everyone . Jet sizes

Hello everyone I’m brand new to this forum. What led me here is the the search for info and I think I hit the jackpot! Long story short, I just received a 1977 gs 750. It was my late big brothers who passed two years ago. The bike has been dormant for at least 10 years so I’m in the process of getting it running and on the road again. The bike means a lot to me. It’s the first bike I have ever ridden on. In a way bringing the bike back brings a little bit of my brother back to me. Right now I’m in the process of cleaning the carbs and I’m trying to figure out why the pilot/slow jet on carb 3 is 27.5 but the jets on the other three are Consumer Information Per what I read was standard. My question is why ? Is this a Normal thing that Suzuki did ? What would be the purpose for different jet sizes ?

Your carbs should have 15 pilot jets. It sounds like some monkey was inside your carbs previously, which is very common. It's hard to find an unmolested set these days.

Hey joe, welcome and congrats with the GS750. My first st. bike was a "77" GS750, great bikes and yours with a special meaning...that's great. If the jets are different sizes, be assured something ain't right.

Welcome to the site, and condolences on the loss of your brother.

When talking about your carbs and jets, I think we first have to establish which intake and exhausts your bike has. Stock, pods, 4-into-1 exhaust, straight through (racing) baffle, street baffle?

Welcome. You've come to the right place.

Welcome Joe, put down your tools and spend a few weeks on the forum reading about your bike and the necessary maintenance that comes with owning one of these old beauties. Get to know this machine, do the work and you'll have a bulletproof bike that will never let you down. Post photos as you go.... there's no end of people here ready to help.
