For which machine ?
If you are talking of the twin carb conversions for four cylinder machines they are a compromise and restrict top end power.
If two carbs would work as well as four then Suzuki and every other manufacturer would have just fitted two and saved a fortune on production and manufacturing costs and they would also be the go to mod for racing and performance applications ... Which they aren't...

As someone who rebuilds a lot of carbs, I just don't understand the lure of Murray carbs, or similar. Yeah, if you are building a really cool, minimalist bike, stripped down to the bare needs, I can see the allure. But is that what's in play here? Or are the buyers just afraid of rebuilding a set of stock carbs? I see this sort of thing constantly on reddit. Everyone there crosses themselves at the thought of doing maintenance, particularly on carbs. In reality, if you can't service a set of carbs, you shouldn't be messing around with a 40+ year old motorcycle.Ed

I think the allure is that Murray markets their carbs as a bolt on solution... which we all know is just stupid... except Murray has made a market of this stupidity
I'll tell you the vast majority of folks today have no idea what jetting is or what it does, the vast majority think that the jetting listed in the service manual is GOD SENT and sacrosanct. EFI will save the world.
I kinda think it's funny... people complaining about how complicated a one hole Mikuni is to tune....
Have a go at a Holley 4500 series... 12 jets, 4 accelerator pumps (each with a cam, squirter and adjustable linkage) and air jets.
EFI lets someone else have all the knowledge... and all I have to do is replace parts when a thing that looks suspiciously like an etch-a-sketch tells me to. When the Etch-a -sketch says "no errors" ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD... my bike is tuned PERFECTLY... it has to be: the etch-a-sketch says so.
If you're thinking about buying a thing from Murray's carbs: DON'T. Sudco is cheaper and actually KNOWS how a carb works... and Sudco KNOWS there is no such thing as a bolt on carb solution.

Murray's also sells custom welded manifolds to adapt for grossly oversized 34mm VM individual cable actuated dirt bike carbs in place of a rack of four Mikuni BS32 CV carbs.... This is a terrible waste of money. Some people treat CV carbs as if it is a complicated fuel injection system with an unreliable computer that they are afraid of the wiring and sensors on...
A 4-rack of Keihin CR26 carbs would really be the only acceptable replacement in new carburetors. Murray's for 4-cylider bikes are a bit of a sham.'77 GS750 920cc heavily modded
