    VM26 carb inlet diameter

    Hi all
I just wanted to check with people in the know as i'm about to order some new pod filters for my 78 GS750
(Yes i know all the problems associated but i dont have room for a stock airbox any more and the bike came with some horrendous cheap things that blocked all the air inlets....)
I'm planning on getting some Ramairs with 43mm fitting.
I've measured the inlets on the carbs at 43mm i just wanted to double check and make myself look like a dick by asking the question on here...
    43mm is right........ Right??

Yes, 43mm is correct. And as long as you go with a quality brand of pod they work just fine. These are the K&N pods that I put on my 1978 GS750 with the VM26SS carbs. DNA Filters is also a very good choice but a little pricy. Just installed a set of those on my GS550.

        Thank you for that....
        They look great!!
I think the Ramairs look great for the price and are a half decent option....
        I'll get them ordered

You might want to install Zed's air correction jets at the same time. He's in the UK. It makes jetting with pods easy.
