    Gs250 needle jets

Guys and girls I have a question regarding the needle jets in the 250 and 400 twins.
in the Haynes manual for the fuel system spec, the left and right carburettor needle jets are listed as different numbers. I can't for the life of me think of a reason why they would need to be different in any way.
For example the 400 is listed as P-1 for left side and P-2 for right side
has anyone know of the reason?

    Regards

I don't think it matters at all. I stripped down my 250's carbs last summer. I'm not sure which jets came from which carb. But it runs great. So I wouldn't worry about it. Probably labeled in the book that way to indicate that there are two jets total (one per carb).

By the way, if you know where to get new needles for the 250 that would be great, mine are getting wore down.
