quick question for the forum, my float assembly was very rusted and I got a new one, planned on evaporusting my tank but looking down inside it looks like it’s already been coated/sealed. Hard to take pics but it’s defintiely got a seal surface on it. If I evaporust it just to get rid of any left over from the float assembly will it mess with the existing coating?

Evaporust won't hurt the coating. If the tank isn't fully sealed, though, with some bare spots, the coating will likely lift off at some point.
Be sure to remove the petcock and sending unit before using Evaporust. That stuff removes/eats zinc, including zinc plating.Last edited by Nessism; 04-10-2024, 01:23 PM.Ed
