    Float Height

Can anyone offer the float height for the 79 gs750L?

Service manual mentions 25mm-27mm meanwhile a table from bikecliff mentioned them being around 23 ±1, with no mention of the L model.

I would go by what the service manual says. Is there one on bikecliff home page

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Float height is just an approximation. If you really care, check fuel level with the clear tube method defined in the factory manual. And before doing that, be sure to do a full rebuild and clean out. Change the O-rings, of course.
