Fuel screw and air screw initial setting

Does anyone have a good start point for where I should start with fuel screw and air screw as I rebuild the carbs for my '79 GS850G with the Mikuni VM26 carbs. How many turns out to start?

    Pilot fuel = 3/4 - 7/8 of one turn
    Pilot air = 1-1/2 turns

Be very careful when bottoming out the fuel screws, because the tip can wedge into the hole in the carb body, then the tip breaks off.

Thanks Ed. Already know this can happen, because the previous owner had done it and left about 2mm in the orifice of one of the cylinders

Just to clarify, pilot air is 1.5 turns? and fuel is 0.75 to 0.88 turns? I feel more comfortable with decimals.

      Thanks!
