Has anyone successfully used JB Weld to reattach a float pin mount? A previous owner broke one and used some kind of silicone to put it back on.

I had a VM zinc carb bod repaired by this guy. After shipping both ways, and paying for the repair, it wasn't cheap.
Best to find a new carb body.Ed

Here's two different ways I saw this guy fix a carburetor float post. They worked but not real sure either was a success that you might want to rely on...
1st one is on a Yamaha, but Mikuni carbs repaired using a bolt -
Next one is from a GS1000G he was working on and used a post he machined and pressed into the carb body -

I've done it by drilling it & inserting a brass rod up the middle of the post & then into the body. Wasn't easy but it seemed to work.1980 GS1000G - Sold
