    8v GS1100 carb size question

    Hey, what size were the CV carbs that went on the 8-valve GS1100?

    I'm starting a GS1000-->GS1100 top end swap, and need to explore my alternatives for carburetion. Preferably on the cheap (inexpensive not low-quality).

    BS34's, same as the 1000. Shouldn't be too hard to scare up a set of stockers take note though, the 1100E carbs are the same size but have different air jets (the ones that can not be removed and replaced).

      yup
      Stick with the eight valve 1000 and 1100 carbs.
      I sized the difference on the two carbs. The main air jet is larger on the eight valve. Funny when you install a DJ kit on these bikes the restrictor they use makes it the same size as the 16 valve.

      1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.
