    Airbox boots

    Hey all,
My gs 750 has been apart recently and I did not notice, prior to removing the airbox, if the box boots seated completely on the carbs. Right now, they're not. They're only half way on to the carb flange.
Am I installing it incorrectly or are the boots worn out. They are stiff.
If boots are worn out, can I get just boots or do I need the whole box too?
Thanks in advance for any comments.

      Try some hi temp grease.

Try some hi temp bearing grease. Just a smear on your manifold O-rings, manifold to carb surfaces, and carb to air box surfaces will help. Not only will it help the instal it will help the seal on the o-rings stay sealed. Dry o-rings are a sure way to get your idle climbing when the engine gets warm.

Just replace them all, they go on easy after that.

Well, the boots are too old and stiff, the grease didn't allow for a tight fit. I'll replace them now.
Is it safe to ride with them like this? Great day out there today.
