    Gsxr carb sync

    Does it make a difference syncing carbs @ intake ports (Allen bolt) or vacum ports on gxsr carbs.?Is one more acurate? 1983 gs 1100

    Good question, I would think you would want to pick the one with the largest vacum. That way any instrument errors would be reduced compared to what you are measuering.

    There could be some differences in flow along the intake runner but can not really think of anything to cause an "error" that is not simply in proportion on all the runners (unless you are measuring up stream of an air leak).

    So with these two consideration, I think the ihex bolts in the head are your better choice. I'm assuming there is a higher vacum there than on the carb ports, but it might not be much.
