does anyone know where to get the rubber boots between the carb and head? also how many people are running pod filters instead of the airbox? is it worth the switch?Tags: None

You can get them from your local dealer or a number of online parts stores like bikebandit.comI didnt do it I swear !!

rubber boots
ok now what about the pod style air filters? anyone using them and im also wanting to do something with the exhaust any tips?

I use the K&N pods. They are an oiled filter. EMGO makes a dry filter that looks similar. I have a Kerker exhaust header. These are both on my GPz, BTW. It is worth it if you are willing to spend the time jetting the carbs, and you can stand the added noise of the intake and exhaust, both of which are much louder than stock.

Hi,
Check your "mega-welcome" in your other thread for a vendor list and all kinds of fun facts about GS bikes.
Lots of members have tossed their air box and fitted 4-n-1 exhausts (not me). Then you have to buy a Stage 3 Dynojet kit and experiment with plug chops to get the jetting right. Well, you don't have to buy a Dynojet kit, but it makes jetting this setup a lot easier. Regardless, it's too much hassle for me, not enough return for all the $$$ and time investment. Stock is OK for me.
