    throttle cable

Ok guess this is correct spot for this. Im still working on my 79 850g and im replacing cables atm throttle specifically. If i am correct the 79 has a dual cable set up or so says my manual. so i go to z1 to order another cable. However they sell 1 for my bike so my question is do i buy 2 of these or is it the right one or what? Im learning GSs as i go and this site has been a huge help its motivated me enough to bury myself in 2 motorcycle projects.
    Thanks, Mike

just ran into the same issue with ordering throttle cables for my '79 750 from Z1... I ordered two of the same cable that they had listed and it was fine. I could've done with a main cable (as in not the return cable) that was a red c$%* hair longer. It was a little rough to route so that it wasn't tight, but I worked it out and doesn't bind or hang up even at full tilt on the bars...

Just had to research this issue with my 78-1k.
Use a microfisch(sp) to look up the part you'll notice both have the same part number.
      Same number means same part.

I recommend OE cables over aftermarket. Sources like Bike Bandit should be able to get what you need.
