    1980 "dreaded" petcock prime?

I've read a few post about the "Dreaded" 1980 petcock. This is on my 1980 450e. Is the prime function in the brass screw? How does this thing prime?

The "dreaded" 1980 petcock is the one without the lever. You got the "good" 1980 petcock.

I'm not sure how the prime feature works but have to ask if you looked in the factory service manual for the answer? If you don't have the manual go to basscliff's site and download it.

As Ed says, you've got the 'good' 1980 fuel tap. The screw is indeed the prime.
