    1980 gs450 carbs

I cleaned and dipped the carbs and replaced the o rings with a kit from cycleorings . I also took the covers of the air screws and turned them in until they seated and then brought them back out 1 1/4 turns. The bike runs great except it returns to idle very slow when the throttle is released at anything over 4000 rpm . The cable seems to return fine . Any thoughts would be helpfull. The original setting on the air screws was 4 1/2 turns out , does this explain my blue header pipes?

    Thanks

they say a hovering idle is an indication of it running LEAN turn the air screws OUT another 14 turn and see what happens.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

I reset the pilot screws out to 3 turns and the bike runs great with no hanging idle.
      Thanks for the reply!
