    Installing Pods

I am sure you guys are expecting "Why is my engine backfiring..." or "How come my midrange lacks power". Lol. I would, since I have read a hundred posts about pods looking for the answer to this question:

When I remove my airbox, the carbs will be "hanging" from the engine block. Should I support the carbs with some wire or something? What have you guys found? The pods that fit my bike are two oval shaped filters, which each cover two carbs.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Carbs will mount securely without the need of a strap of any sort as long as your intake boots are good.

I doubled up some zip ties to provide support for my 1100E carbs - they definately needed support without the airbox to hold up the back sides...

What did you ziptie them to? The frame? I think my boots are fine, but my bike is not really a looker, so I'd rather sacrifice a little style for function. Besides, My carbs seem really heavy and it does seem like it would stress them in a way they dont need.

Yeah, went from the rack support up to the frame under the tank fastener bolt. I felt the same way about not really wanting them to be stressed for no apparent reson...

You can't see them unless you get on your hands & knees & look for them.
