82 gs550m katana. parked it one night and found a puddle of fuel under it the next morning. just out of the blue. never leaked before ever! pulled the carbs apart. clean as a virgin inside. took out all the needles and found that three of the four are the same size and shape and one is just slightly larger. the larger one is where it leaks. leaks out of the intake port and out of the overflow. to confirm it was a problem with the needle, i switched it to the neighboring carb and that one started leaking. i just don't understand why all of a sudden out of no where the needle would be not able to seat properly! any ideas? float levels are all the same. would it be bad to raise that float level a bit?

Get a new float needle valve.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
