    If it's on the 77 doesn't that use non-CV carbs? If so the adjustments are under the top cap of the carbs. Take the 3(?) phillips screws loose and the adjusting screw and lock nut are there front and center.

      Thanks for the reply Ian, but I have a 650 top end and CV carbs on the 550 bottom end with six speed.

        I have just ordered my carbtool & carbtune

        BTW Cliff I have just placed an order with Morgan for the Carbtune synchroniser and the Carbtool as well. I also have a petcock problem which I will start a new thread on. Don't want to take too many liberties on someone elses thread.

            If those are the same length as the plastic adapters (and from the pictures they look to be the same), they are hard to work with on a hot engine. I guess if you left them there all the time it wouldn't be so bad. But I sync my carbs maybe twice a year when I check the valve clearances. The Z1 kit has longer adapters and are easier to get in and out of a hot engine. And I can use them on my friends' bikes.

              this has a different picture than yours but would this work as an adapter for the Morgan Carbtune?

              Z1 Enterprises specializes in quality Motorcycle parts for Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Classic Japanese motorcycles from the 1970's and 1980's.


              and in case you are familiar with these, would I need to order four? Or do four come in the set? I know I should ask Z1 this but just in case you knew....

              Edit: Im sorry for dredging up this old thread by the way, I didn't mean to.

                Not a good idea to leave them permanently attached with that rubber o-ring on there. A copper or aluminum washer would be better.
