I was thinking today as I was studying for my finals about my 83 gs 750t. If my bike is 27 years old and has the original exhaust system, how much carbon is still in there? I imagine all those years of unburned fuel have created some type of build up, no? I'm not saying my bike is running bad but maybe it could run better if it had a nice air flow (I'm a perfectionist). Any ideas on how to clean the insides?

Unless your bike has been grossly misadjusted, you won't have that much carbon in there.
De-carboning the mufflers was a ritual in the two-stroke world, but it totally unnecessary with our bikes.
