    81 650 exhaust

I was riding today and noticed what sounded like an exhaust leak. Well I get home and check and find

    SON OF A B***H

So I'm looking at the the parts fische at gssuzuki and it looks like I need Muffler RH 14301-34401-H01 (replaces 14301-34400)

So am I stuck buying a new muffler or does anyone have a suggestion or one laying around. I know stock exhaust are a dime a dozen for other bikes but what about the gs?

Finding a decent condition stock exhaust can be quite hard. Good luck with that. Failing finding one, it shouldn't be that hard to fabricate a collar of some sort. Some GS models use exhaust collars along with these half moon pieces so figure out what model parts may work and be inventive. If all else fails, have a collar welded onto your pipes like so many headers have.

I would wager fabing something up would work best, might need to be a split ring that you then put a big hose type clamp over... if it was me I would try to do that with what is left for parts lol
