caswell epoxy question
I'm going to epoxy my tank soon and was wondering about the fuel gauge. I know I need to remove the fuel valve but do I need to remove the fuel sender aswell and do I just tape them off with duct tape or something to keep the epoxy inside? Beside this is sounds easy to do and from other people on here it sounds like it works well. ThanksTags: None

The gauge needs to come out if you ever want to use it again.
Before you seal the tank you need to derust it first. Please don't believe that sillyness that claims tank sealers stick to rust long term.
There are tons of threads here on how to derust a tank. I recommend Evaporust and aquarium rocks, after you fashion some strong reliable plugs for the various openings.
