Intake boot O-ring 32, 38, or 40?
So I was looking up some o-rings from http://www.cycleorings.com/ and i see that they have the rings for intake boots... but theres 3 different sizes (32mm, 38mm, and 40mm). I tried looking up the proper size in my clymer manual to no avail. So I went to bikebandit.com and looked up the o-ring on their site and it says in the description "O RING - D:2.4,ID:39.7". so would the ID:39.7 be the 40mm I'm looking for from cycleorings? my bike is an 81 450L.Tags: None

To learn about part interchangability, check the part numbers. For example, check the part number for the 450E O-rings and then check 450L O-rings. You can check any part this way, between years and between models. I like this fishe for checking part numbers but I don't order from them because they are too expensive. http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htmEd

I came to this thread as I was trying to find out what O-ring I needed for my 1978 GS550C (Barr does not suppy these - from his website: "77-79 550's use 28mm O-rings (which I don't carry)"). I figured it out and thought this would be an ok spot to post the information.
The o-ring is on the "Air Cleaner" microfiche! I could not for the life of me find it! The part number is 09280-28003. It is $2.82 USD on www.alpha-sports.com, and $1.31 on www.PartShark.com.
Cheers,
Jonah

Your local Suzuki store can order them for you and at retail price, let them pay for the shipping.

The other fiche where they tend to hide the o-rings (and the intake boots that hold them) would be on the "Cylinder Head" fiche.

Thanks!
Eric I should have ordered them into the dealer! PartShark (Flatout) charged me $9 shipping for $5 of rings! But I needed to just buy them because I have been putting my carb rebuild off. The link you put was for the 450 and not my 550 fyi.
Thank you Steve for the info!
Have a great weekend! I am going camping in a thunderstormCheers,

Going to try to bring this thread back to life in hopes someone may be able to tell me where I could find 34mm intake O-rings. I've contacted Robert Barr, no luck. Partzilla, no luck. Partsoutlaw, no luck. I'll try a calling a dealer who's fairly local tomorrow in hope they can help me out. These are for my 1982 Gsx400L, cant even find any sites that show my engine. Its becoming very difficult to source parts

Like I said in email; look into a 'Dash 126' in Viton.and God said, "Let there be air compressors!"
